He takes many pages to get an idea across, almost like he's trying to bulk the book up. There isn't a lot of meat in it, but some interesting points. I don't recommend anyone buy it, but if someone loans you a copy it is a fun quick read.
Much of this material is available elsewhere, but never in such an engaging style. Well-written, always on topic, full of intruiging research, and easy to digest, Sway is hard to put down. It's a quick read that makes you think.
this was the most superficial and repetitive non-fiction book I've ever read - half a page in a weekend supplement would have sufficed for space, and better suited the style of the authors
If you want to know why people act so impulsively and irrationally I would reccommend reading this bookThere are lots of startling brief stories that give glimpses of why humans think and act so irrationally at times. Sometimes I laughed at how stupid some of the decisions people make with very little information. These stories definately effected the way I think about people and situations in my own life.I hope this effect is positive and durable. lol
You can learn so much more by reading a book about NLP, and when you read a book about NLP you will get all the information that was left out of this book, although it probably won't be as entertaining. Yes this book is entertaining and I would have giving it three stars for being entertaining had the authors not left out so much information about the subjects they discuss like loss aversion. But all this book is, is just information reprinted by someone with a differnt name. So you can now choose spend 10-15 bucks on this book or spend 10 bucks at the movies and 5 bucks for popcorn for your entertainment. But don't read this book and think you will learn to sway another person's mind.
